Hi All,

What an exciting tournament. Since the saga of Djokovic, we are all wondering who is going to win this year! Rafa, Medvedev, or another underdog? So exciting! Medvedev was so cool against the crazy Kyrgios in second round.

One of the best match so far, with the crazy Aussie making the show in the third. But the Russian kept is positive mindset to get over the threat of Kyrgios come back. And it works out. Is he the favourite? Well yes and no! Yes because his last win in USO has for sure boosted his self confidence. But also "No" because his road to the trophee is made of tough opponents, including Cilic in 1/4 and Tsitsipas in semis. Not easy!. Cilic really impressed me a lot vs Rublev last round. Massive serve, good technical approach of the game, he is back to his best, when he won USO back to 2014. Remember also the croatian reached the final four years back vs Roger Federer and was close to a win that year....so keep Cilic has a potential trouble maker for the rest of the AO. Then comes Monfils as another trouble maker!

I watched his game today, he gained a lot of muscles, he is fully focussed for the first time in his career...who knows if he can move a bit further, but the frechman is like a breath of fresh air in modern tennis! He has the charisma none of other players have.

Now comes Rafa...he is the legend we all know. He had never performed well in Australian Open ( just one title there back to 2009) but he is the only one of the big 3 this year and for sure he beleived he can make history and win his 21st GS ahead of the two other legends of the game, Roger and Djoko.

His next match agaist Shapovalov will be a key test for him.

The logical final would be Rafa vs Medvedev but something tells me that it might not be the case....a final btw Cilic and Berrettini is also possible! Let's see...till then, enjoy tennis! On Eurosport every days.

Take care.
